Game Bridgesis part of the Worldbridges network, a long-running project built around global conversation, multi-perspective education, and ethical commerce. The network was founded by Jeff Lebow, an educator, longtime expat, and the person who has been buying “bridges” domains since the days of Netscape and Altavista. A few bridges have been active at various points, but many have remained dormant for years. This is one of the sites that is in the early stages of ‘waking up’.
Ultimately, the goal of Worldbridges and its component sites is to provide spaces where people from different places and perspectives can connect with each other and with meaningful content. To whatever extent business is conducted here, we want to promote fair trade, decent treatment of human workers, and the fairest possible compensation to those who produce content and keep things running.
Games are one of the most genuinely global human activities. People play everywhere, across every age group, income level, and culture. Games are played on phones, at kitchen tables, in internet cafes, on playgrounds, and in sold-out arenas. GameBridges exists to cover all of it. For now, this site covers the full range of gaming: video games, board games, card games, tabletop RPGs, mobile games, word games, and the playground classics that predate all of them. Articles include original guides, regional roundups, explainers for new players, and features on trends and culture across the gaming world. Much of the content is AI-assisted and human-edited. We aim to make sure statistics are sourced, coverage reflects a genuinely global perspective, and that useful information for actual players is always prioritized over chasing clicks.
